A VR welding simulator is a booth trainer with a torch-shaped tool and a virtual puddle, not an app from a search result.
Lincoln Electric, Fronius, Miller, Seabery, and Realityworks each publish a real trainer. Their pages describe the hardware and ask you to request a quote or a demo. They do not list a consumer shelf price, so this page does not invent one.
If you are on a phone looking for something free, start with a free app or a browser game, then weld a coupon. A VR rig is for someone who can sit down at a unit a shop or a training center already bought.
Lincoln Electric VRTEX 360 Compact
Lincoln's product page calls the VRTEX 360 Compact a small, portable virtual reality welding simulator. It describes a realistic puddle and welding sound, discontinuities that appear when technique is off, and a virtual bend test. You select gas type, process, gas flow, amperage or voltage, and wire-feed speed. The tools cover stick, MIG and flux-core, and TIG. Practice positions include flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. The system tracks work angle, travel angle, travel speed, distance, and position. The page does not list a shelf price.
Fronius Welducation Simulator
Fronius's Welducation Simulator page describes augmented reality with actual welding torches and the housing of a real welding system. You can practice manual arc, MIG/MAG, and TIG, plus the steps around the weld: attaching the return lead, setting parameters, and cleaning slag. The stand-alone Welducation Campus, an offline copy for the tablet, is included free of charge. The cloud license is a paid subscription for one, three, or five years. That is a software license. The page does not publish a price for the simulator hardware.
Fronius also ships Welducation Basic, a separate free phone app. That one is covered on the free welding simulator page. It is not this rig.
Miller AugmentedArc
Miller's AugmentedArc page describes an augmented reality welding system for MIG, TIG, and stick. The helmet display is meant to show what you would see through a welding helmet. It is sold as a training system. The page used here does not list a shelf price.
Seabery Welding Simulator
Seabery's page describes an augmented reality unit with real torches for MIG, MAG, TIG, and stick, plus a helmet, a TIG pedal, gloves, and a workstand. Seabery asks you to book a demo rather than publish a phone-app price.
Realityworks guideWELD VR
Realityworks' guideWELD VR guide describes a workstation for stick and MIG, with feedback on work angle, travel angle, speed, nozzle-to-plate distance, and straightness. A Realityworks note says there is no subscription plan for the VR system, and that it installs on Windows and Mac. Those pages do not state a current shelf price, so none is listed here.
Who a VR rig suits
Someone who can use a unit a shop or a training center already owns. The session is about torch angle, distance, travel speed, and a virtual puddle, without burning wire. It is a poor answer to "free" or "unblocked", which are phone and browser searches. Those are covered under free welding simulators and welding games.
After the rig
A rig rehearses your hands. It does not look at the coupon on your bench. Run a real bead, photograph it, and read the callouts. That split is the point of DimeVision vs welding simulators and how a DimeVision scan works. The wider write-up is the welding simulator apps review.

- Named rigs
- Lincoln VRTEX 360 Compact, Fronius Welducation Simulator, Miller AugmentedArc, Seabery, Realityworks guideWELD VR.
- Published hardware price
- Not listed on the product pages used here. No price is invented on this page.
- Fronius software note
- Stand-alone campus is included. Cloud license is a paid subscription for one, three, or five years.
- Not the same as DimeVision
- The DimeVision welding app reads a photo of a real bead and returns defect callouts plus what to fix on the next pass. Free is 3 scans a day.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download a VR welding simulator for free?
Not the booth rigs named here. Lincoln, Fronius, Miller, Seabery, and Realityworks sell hardware and ask for a quote or a demo. Fronius Welducation Basic is a separate free phone app, and it is not a VR rig.
What does a VR welding simulator include?
A torch-shaped tool and a virtual puddle, often with MIG, TIG, or stick practice. Lincoln's VRTEX 360 Compact also tracks work angle, travel angle, travel speed, distance, and position. The other makers describe their own mix of helmets, real torch bodies, and replay.
Who is a VR welding rig for?
Someone who can sit down at a unit a shop or a training center already bought. It is not a useful answer if you are on a phone looking for a free or unblocked game.
How much does a VR welding simulator cost?
The product pages used here do not list a consumer shelf price for the hardware. Fronius does say the stand-alone campus software is included, and that the cloud license is a paid subscription for one, three, or five years. This page does not invent a hardware price.
