This policy explains how DANZUS Holdings LLC, doing business as DimeVision (“DimeVision,” “we,” or “us”), handles personal information through the DimeVision website, app, school features, and related services.
Depending on how you use DimeVision, we may collect:
DimeVision does not use weld images to identify people and does not intentionally collect biometric identifiers. Do not upload faces, identity documents, health information, export-controlled material, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
We use information to provide weld analysis and coaching, save history, operate school and instructor features, administer accounts and subscriptions, communicate with users, support and secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot problems, develop and improve features, and comply with law. We may create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not reasonably identify a person. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the service, follow school instructions, complete transactions, protect users or DimeVision, complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, or comply with law. Providers may include Google Gemini for AI processing; Supabase for authentication, databases, and file storage; Vercel for hosting; Stripe and Apple for billing; Resend for email; and Twilio for supported messaging. Weld images, blueprints, audio, chat content, and related prompts may be sent to Google for AI processing. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries under their own terms and privacy commitments.
When a school provides or directs use of DimeVision, the school controls its education records and DimeVision processes those records to provide the contracted service. Where permitted by law, a school may authorise collection from a student solely for the educational context and benefit of the school. The school confirms it has authority to provide its instructions, and DimeVision remains responsible for privacy obligations that apply to DimeVision as the service operator. DimeVision does not use school-controlled student records for advertising or an unrelated commercial purpose. Schools needing FERPA, state student privacy, security, retention, or deletion commitments should enter into a written school agreement or data protection addendum with DimeVision before deployment.
DimeVision is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit a child under 13 to create an independent account. Users under 18 must use DimeVision with permission from a parent, guardian, or authorised school. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without the required authorisation.
Guest history is kept locally on the device. Signed-in history and school records are stored in access-controlled cloud systems. We use encrypted connections, server-side credentials, row-level access rules, request validation, logging, rate limits, and vendor security controls. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Account and weld history are generally retained while an account or school relationship is active. Users may delete individual history in the app or request account deletion. After closure, data is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, subject to backups, fraud prevention, active disputes, school instructions, and legal or accounting obligations. Security logs may be retained for up to 12 months, and payment records for the period required by law.
You can clear local history, delete saved welds, revoke camera, microphone, or location permission, cancel a subscription, and request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information. School-managed users should also contact their school because DimeVision may need the school's instruction before changing an education record. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
In the preceding 12 months, DimeVision may have collected the categories described above: identifiers; account, subscription, and commercial information; internet or electronic activity; precise location if enabled; audio and visual content; education-related records submitted through school features; and inferences such as AI-generated scores and recommendations. We collect these categories from you, your device, your school or instructor, and service providers. We use and disclose them for the business purposes described in Sections 2 and 3. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about a person.
California residents may request access to categories and specific pieces of personal information, deletion, correction, and information about disclosures, subject to legal exceptions and identity verification. You may use an authorised agent where permitted by law. Because DimeVision operates exclusively online, requests may be sent to support@dimevision.app. We do not discriminate for exercising an applicable right.
DimeVision does not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and therefore does not provide a separate “Do Not Sell or Share” mechanism. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not consistently defined. Where legally required, we honour recognised opt-out preference signals for activities to which they apply.
We may update this policy as DimeVision changes. We will post the current version and update date here. Material changes may also be communicated in the service or by email.
